Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy at TurtleCare helps children develop the skills they need to participate more comfortably and confidently in everyday life. This may include support with sensory processing, fine motor skills, attention, play, self-care, and school-related tasks. Our approach is gentle, practical, and tailored to each child's strengths, needs, and daily environment.

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Promote functional independence by enhancing sensory processing, self-regulation, and participation in meaningful daily activities.

Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Enhance impulse control, organization, and task completion skills to enhance academic achievement and improve their ability to participate in classroom activities.

Sensory Processing Difficulties

Facilitate adaptive responses to sensory input for better engagement in everyday activities.

Fine Motor Challenges

Helping children improve hand strength, coordination, grasp, and control for everyday tasks and play.

Handwriting and Task Completion

Helping children develop the foundational skills needed for writing, classroom participation, and learning-related tasks.

Daily Living Skills

Supporting independence in everyday activities such as dressing, feeding, grooming, and toileting.

Difficulties in Play and Social Skills

Using play as a meaningful way to build engagement, interaction, imagination, and functional development.

Visual-Motor Coordination

Helping children strengthen the connection between what they see and how they respond through movement and task-based activities.

Bilateral Coordination Difficulties

Supporting children in using both sides of the body together more effectively during play, self-care, and school tasks.

Motor Planning Difficulties

Helping children improve their ability to plan, organise, and carry out new or multi-step movements.

Feeding and Oral-Motor Support

Supporting children who may find eating, chewing, or managing food textures difficult as part of daily function.

Our goal is to help each child build practical skills that make everyday life easier, more independent, and more meaningful. By working closely with families, we aim to support progress that carries beyond therapy into routines, relationships, learning, and play.
